With the CS Career Guide, I see “Certified Food Safety HACCP Manager” as a credential worth obtaining. I can’t seem to locate it on CG Cool or locate the site that the credential is associated with. Do you happen to know where I would find it or who I should reach out to for information in locating that credential?

Good afternoon. There is no HACCP Manager course on COOL yet. If your unit was somehow willing to pay for it (long shot) I would go with the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) for the most legit route:  https://www.nsflearn.com/us/courses/haccp-food-safety-leadership-managers-and-supervisors.

Your best case scenario (I’ve seen it done) to obtain “Certified Food Safety HACCP Manager” would be to check with your local community college if they offer a course on HACCP so you can utilize CG tuition assistance.

If it was not offered at the local community college, I would not go out of my way to obtain a HACCP Certification until it becomes available on COOL. In the meantime, for a sanitation certification, I would go with The National Registry of Food Safety Professionals (NRFSP) Food Safety Manager Certification (FSMC) on COOL: https://www.cool.osd.mil/uscg/credential/index.html?cert=fsmc192.
