Happy Holidays and New Year to you all! I hope everyone was able to enjoy the holidays with friends and family. So far, we are off to a great start to the year, I just pulled the latest A School numbers and classes are filling up quickly, which means that help is on the way to those units that are shorthanded!
Direct access is finally back online, which means I can start to work through the slate and issue orders. Thank you all for your patience as I navigate this assignment year. A little update on where I currently am in the slate process. I was churning and burning looking over everyone’s E-resumes and slating members for positions while DA has been down. My goal is to get everyone their highest earned assignment! Prior to direct access going down, I issued all Priority 1 members orders, most of the Priority 2 members orders and some Priority 3 members. With DA being back online, I will begin issuing orders as I am able to once, I have all the relevant information, and everything aligned. Be on the lookout in the next 2 -3 weeks for the next round of SWE cuts. Once the cuts are released, I will be making calls to members above the cut and discussing what that means.
For those members that applied for Special Command Aide, Senior Chief Rohrs and I are awaiting the Flag Selection. Once that message is released, interviews will begin to be scheduled with the respective Flag Officer.
I released a critical fill solicitation message this morning for USCGC Terrapin out of Bellingham, WA, please see attached message. The critical fill solicitation closes on January 12th, interested candidates please shoot me an email prior to applying for the position in direct access.
